Inspiration of the Day...
Happy Hump day! Wednesday (disregarding it's confusing spelling because everyone really pronounces Win-ss-day_) is always a very comforting day to embark upon. Today is the peak of our work week- and tomorrows tasks will only be lessened because of the pain and agony we experience on Wednesday! Which brings me to the inspiration-- or rather theme of today--- which is Ambition baby... Ambition, and I am talking Kanye West status ambition here-- so this is serious! Wednesday is the perfect day to finish a daunting project, or to set knew goals. A cognitive therapist once told me life is a chain- in which it length and strength is determined by an individuals ability to complete and connect one link (aka goal) at a time. So as far as your goals- and ambition- it is practical and most effective to set goals in which can be completed upon in a feasible time frame. Rather than say- I am going to become a media icon today-- perhaps it is of better reasoning to say, this week i am going to file my business license so i can start on my way to becoming the new Oprah.
And no one knows ambition quite like the demon and mother goddess of the fashion world... Anna Wintour. Yes she was born into a publishing empire-- and yes she dropped out of high school, and yes she is British so her humor is awful, but all aside this women has set up for herself an empire in which was certainly was not created over night. My boss Janis Leonard always says... It is not how important you are, rather it how important you think you are that counts!--- Anna Wintour among other successful people certainly did not look for the acceptance and advice of their peers to become who they are. Of course everyone should listen and absorb knowledge- however at the end of the day--- you yourself have to believe your opinion upon the work you do is supreme to all others.
